Rotherham United have completed the signing of Billy Jones on a two-year deal.
The 31-year-old was a free agent after being released by Sunderland following their relegation to League One last season, and he has secured an immediate return to the Championship with newly-promoted Rotherham.
Jones has put pen to paper on a contract which will keep him at New York Stadium until 2020, having ended his four-year spell with Sunderland.
The former West Bromwich Albion defender made 96 appearances for the Black Cats, including 24 last season, but was unable to prevent them from suffering back-to-back relegations from the Premier League to League One.
Jones becomes Rotherham's fourth signing of the summer and could make his competitive debut for the club when they take on Brentford in their opening match of the new Championship season on August 4.
