Team News: Armando Izzo recalled by Genoa for Sassuolo clash

Armando Izzo starts for Genoa in their Serie A clash with Sassuolo, which could decide if they qualify for the Europa League.

Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini has opted to recall Armando Izzo as they try to secure European football next season with a win at Sassuolo.

Izzo was dropped from the starting lineup for the Rossoblu's 3-2 win over Inter Milan last weekend, but plays in defence alongside Sebastian De Maio, who featured against the Nerazzurri.

Meanwhile, Carlos Sansone, who has earned his first call-up for Italy for the forthcoming Euro 2016 qualifier with Croatia, will start up front for Sassuolo, alongside Simone Zaza.

The hosts also reward last weekend's match-winner against Udinese Francesco Magnanelli with a place in midfield.

Sassuolo: Pomini, Vrsaljko, Cannavaro, Acerbi, Peluso, Biondini, Magnanelli, Missiroli, Berardi, Zaza, Sansone

Genoa: Lamanna, De Maio, Izzo, Roncaglia, Lestienne, Pavoletti, Edenilson, Falque, Kucka, Rincon, Bertolacci
