SBV Excelsior beat Willem II 3-2 in a five-goal thriller at the Koning Willem II Stadion.
Richairo Zivkovic put the hosts ahead within 45 seconds after the on-loan Ajax youngster was put through on goal and made sure he took the early chance.
However, the lead did not last long as Excelsior levelled three minutes later in an explosive start as Tom van Weert equalised for the visitors.
Willem regained the lead midway through the first half as Stijn Wuytens crossed the ball for his brother Dries Wuytens, who steered the ball home from close range.
However, the goalscorer would then turn to villain as Wuytens brought down Sander Fischer in the box and Jeff Stans stroked the ball home to make it 2-2 heading into half time.
The away side finally went in front after the break as Daryl van Mieghem was put through one-on-one against Kostas Lamprou and the 25-year-old won the duel to put his team ahead in the contest.
Adil Auassar almost made it four in the final 10 minutes but his strike was tipped over the bar by Lamprou.
The win moves Excelsior up to 10th in the Eredivisie table, while Willem II miss their chance to move out of the relegation playoff places and remain in 16th.
