Stoke City defender Robert Huth is likely to reject the opportunity to return to Germany this summer by extending his contract at the Britannia Stadium.
According to The Mirror, the 27-year-old is top of the summer shopping list of Schalke 04 manager Huub Stevens, who is keen to sign a long-term replacement for Christoph Metzelder.
However, as the Potters currently sit safely in 12th position in the Premier League table and are effectively guaranteed top-flight football next season, the German international is said to favour stating where he is.
Huth's current deal expires in the summer of 2013 but talks over an extension are thought to be imminent.
