Scotland goalkeeper Craig Gordon has said that the Tartan Army are ready to take their opportunity to earn a spot in the World Cup playoffs.
On Thursday night, a late own goal from Martin Skrtel earned Scotland a 1-0 win over Slovakia, a result which takes Gordon Strachan's team into second position in Group F.
Scotland realistically need to beat Slovenia on Sunday to claim the runner-up spot and earn a place in the playoffs, and Gordon has acknowledged that he and his teammates will "give it everything".
The 34-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "We left it late, we were creating one or two chances and I did feel we were going to get that one chance.
"We felt the momentum was with us in last five or ten minutes to get the winner. Their keeper was in-form tonight but thankfully we got a bit of luck at the end.
"Sunday is a big one - we have to give it everything. It is a great opportunity and one we have not had for some time. Everyone is looking forward to it."
Scotland are now unbeaten in their last five qualifying fixtures.
