Scunthorpe United have relieved Mark Robins of his managerial duties with the League One outfit.
The decision was confirmed via a statement on the club's official website, which also revealed that assistant manager Ned Kelly would be departing Glanford Park.
Scunthorpe were beaten 5-0 at Blackpool in the league at the weekend, which left the club in 16th position in League One, nine points off the playoffs with 20 games of the season remaining.
"We are sad to part company with Mark and Ned, but we have to think about the best interests of Scunthorpe United football club. We wish Mark and Ned all the best for the future," chairman Peter Swann told the club's official website.
Scunthorpe will provide further updates "in due course" as they prepare to replace Robins.
