Scunthorpe United boss Russ Wilcox has admitted that he is interested in signing Leicester City duo Tom Hopper and Jacob Blyth on loan.
Wilcox was able to assess the pair on Saturday as his side defeated a Leicester XI 3-1 in a pre-season friendly at Glanford Park.
While revealing that the clubs are yet to strike a deal, Wilcox is eager to boost his squad before the start of the season.
"I had a look at Leicester's front two, I won't hide away from that. Tom Hopper and Jacob Blyth are both exciting, young players and they have been out on loan before," he told the club's official website.
"There are conversations still to be had. There's nothing concrete on anybody coming in at the moment."
Scunthorpe's League One campaign gets underway on Saturday when they travel to Swindon Town.
