Djimi Traore scored in injury time to give Seattle Sounders a vital MLS away victory over Sporting Kansas City.

The hosts could have been ahead in the opening seconds of the game as Jacob Peterson broke free upfield but Michael Gspurning did well to save his effort.

Seattle lost substitute keeper Marcus Hahnemann from the bench after he was sent off for dissent in the 24th minute by referee Geoff Gamble.

Kansas City were playing the better football and Gspurning was in action again this time to prevent Graham Zusi's low shot reaching the net as he got down low to make a save.

After the break, the home side continued to have the better of the chances and Claudio Bieler should have done better as he fired his volley over the bar from close range.

Just as the match looked to be ending goalless, the hosts fail to clear the danger from a cross and Traore was there to turn the ball into the bottom corner to give his team the win in the 94th minute.
