Unai Emery delighted with El Madrigal win

Sevilla boss Unai Emery praises his team following Sunday's 2-0 La Liga win at top-four rivals Villarreal.

Sevilla boss Unai Emery has revealed his delight after his team recorded a 2-0 win at Villarreal on Sunday.

The hosts dominated proceedings in the first period, but missed a number of chances as the teams entered the break on terms.

Sevilla improved in the second half, however, and secured all the points courtesy of goals from Coke and Vitolo.

"Only Real Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia have won here because Villarreal always demand the maximum of you and make you suffer," Emery told reporters.

"You need to be very focused and today we took another step forward, so I'm satisfied with my team's work. This was a win of great value as it puts us on 55 points and will give us a lot of confidence."

Sevilla are now only four points off the top four in La Liga.
