Report: Swansea City to move for Unai Emery

A report claims that Swansea City will attempt to entice Sevilla boss Unai Emery to the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea City are reportedly keen on making Unai Emery, who is currently in charge of Sevilla, their new manager.

The Swans are on the lookout for a new head coach following the departure of Garry Monk earlier this month.

Former Argentine and Chile coach Marcelo Bielsa is the odds-on favourite to take the position in Wales, but according to The Sun, Emery is also very much in the running.

Emery has led Sevilla to back-to-back Europa League titles, but it is understood that the Spaniard is keen on a fresh challenge after spending the majority of his coaching career in Spain.

An inconsistent start to the La Liga season has left Sevilla in seventh, although they are just six points off the top four with more than half of the campaign remaining.
