Yevhen Konoplyanka scores late winner as Sevilla beat Rayo Vallecano

Sevilla beat Rayo Vallecano 3-2 in La Liga.

Sevilla have beaten Rayo Vallecano 3-2 after a late winner from Yevhen Konoplyanka.

Steven N'Zonzi was the first player to test the opposition goalkeeper when his long-range shot was directed towards the goal.

Sevilla continued to attack through Marco Andreolli but his header from a corner missed the right post. Coke was next to rise highest at a corner but he could only direct the ball over the bar.

Kevin Gameiro opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when he found the bottom-left corner.

The lead was doubled in first-half stoppage time when Steven N'Zonzi netted after Jose Antonio Reyes's assist.

Bebe pulled a goal back in the 51st minute when his free kick found the top-right corner.

The former Manchester United man had a chance to add a second on the hour mark but his 20-yard shot was saved.

The comeback was complete in the 68th minute when Javi Guerra found the top-right corner from inside the penalty area.

Antonio Amaya picked up his second yellow card and Vallecano were forced to play the last seven minutes of the match with ten men.

Sevilla made them pay three minutes later when Konoplyanka's free kick curled into the bottom-left corner of the net.
