Sevilla earned three points late on at home to rock bottom Osasuna and ease their own relegation fears in a tight La Liga contest.
Both sides struggled to break the deadlock and looked to be heading for a goalless draw before Emir Spahic scored with ten minutes left on the clock.
Spahic took advantage of indecision in the Osasuna backline to fire home from close range and move Sevilla into a mid-table spot.
The home side were dominant in the second half and had spurned chances to take the lead earlier in the match, with Jose Antonio Reyes and Jesus Navas guilty of wasting good openings.
Kike Sola also had a goal ruled out for offside but the home side were good value for three points, easing the pressure on manager Michel.
