Sevilla overcome 10-man Osasuna

Sevilla extend their unbeaten run to five matches in La Liga thanks to a 2-1 victory at home to struggling Osasuna.

Sevilla have extended their unbeaten run to five matches in La Liga with a 2-1 win at home to struggling Osasuna.

The visitors were reduced to 10 men on 35 minutes when Damia was shown a straight red card for chopping down Kevin Gameiro with the striker through on goal.

Sevilla made their numerical advantage count 10 minutes into the second half as Ivan Rakitic got on the end of Stephane Mbia's cross to volley in.

Their lead was doubled 15 minutes from time thanks to Jairo's strike from the angle into the bottom corner.

Osasuna pulled a late goal back through Oriol Riera, but it was not enough to stop them slumping to a first defeat in three matches.
