The Seville side were linked with the Portuguese earlier in the summer, but their interest cooled when it appeared that Alberto Moreno would remain with the club.
Moreno has since departed for Liverpool and according to Estadio Deportivo, Sevilla are now preparing an official bid for the talented full-back.
It is understood that Sevilla want to tie up a move this week.
