Sevilla sporting director Ramon Rodriguez Verdejo has said that the club are in talks with Stoke City over the transfer of Steven N'Zonzi.
The 26-year-old has spent the past three years with the Potters and was voted their Player of the Year last season.
"We are negotiating, we are in the fight," Verdejo told reporters.
"We have less and less leeway. If N'Zonzi or Stoke don't think that we can offer what they want, we will look for other possibilities. That's why we've been working all season."
N'Zonzi scored four goals in 42 appearances for Stoke last season.
