Half-Time Report: Aiden O'Brien gives Millwall lead against Sheffield United

A header from Aiden O'Brien gives Millwall a 1-0 half-time lead against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

Millwall have taken a 1-0 lead into half time against Sheffield United thanks to a goal from Aiden O'Brien.

The first chance of the match arrived at the feet of Millwall attacker Fred Onyedinma, but despite having time and space, he could only send a half-volley wide of the target.

Moments later, Che Adams struck the post with a 20-yard effort, before Tony Craig had to be alert to block a close-range attempt from the Blades midfielder that looked destined for the net.

On the half-hour mark, Millwall went in front after Shaun Cummings clipped a ball towards O'Brien, who managed to direct a header into the top corner, despite having his back to goal.

George Saville, who is on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, nearly made it two with 10 minutes of the half remaining, but Mark Howard was able to get down low to make the save.

Millwall finished the half on top, but they were unable to add to their tally as they look to record their fourth away win of the campaign.
