Sheffield United have completed the signing of former Peterborough United defender Craig Alcock.
Alcock, 26, has penned a two-year deal at Bramall Lane following his release from Peterborough at the end of last season.
"We are delighted to get Craig, who has experience of the top end of this division and also the Championship in recent times," Blades boss Nigel Clough told the club's official website.
"A major advantage is he can play anywhere across the back four and that will be hugely beneficially through what is a very, very long season."
Alcock began his career at Yeovil Town before switching to Peterborough in 2011.
