Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson has confirmed that he has failed in a bid to bring Everton winger Magaye Gueye to the club on loan.
However, Wilson was rebuffed by Everton manager David Moyes, who wants to keep the 22-year-old at Goodison Park.
Wilson told the Yorkshire Post that he had been interested in the Senegal youngster, but added: "It's gone nowhere. He is not available."
The League One side will continue their pursuit for a new winger after they lost Stephen Quinn to Hull City on deadline day.
