Half-Time Report: Caolan Lavery gives Sheffield Wednesday lead

Sheffield Wednesday lead at the break thanks to Caolan Lavery in their Championship match against Charlton Athletic at Hillsborough this afternoon.

Caolan Lavery has given Sheffield Wednesday the lead in their Championship match against Charlton Athletic at Hillsborough this afternoon.

Lavery went close for Wednesday early on, but hit his shot wide after Chris Maguire had put him through.

Lewis McGugan tested Stephen Henderson in the Charlton goal but the keeper saved his attempt after good work from Lavery.

It was Lavery who then gave the home side the lead just before half time, scoring from close range after Lewis Buxton's cross.
