Sheffield Wednesday are level with Barnsley at half time in the Yorkshire derby between two relegation rivals.

Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley are level at half time in this afternoon's Championship relegation battle.

Five minutes in and the home side had the ball in the net after Leroy Lita released Gary Madine. However, the assistant referee's flag was raised, and the goal was disallowed for offside.

The game then settled down into a midfield battle, before Wednesday again started to take the initiative through their strikers.

Barnsley finally found an attack of note when Chris Dagnall was released through the middle, but his shot was blocked by Miguel Angel Lledra.

There was time for Lita to miss a good chance just before half time and the teams went in goalless at the break.
