A Connor Wickham brace has given Sheffield Wednesday a 2-1 lead over Leicester City at Hillsborough this evening.
The league leaders took the lead just over two minutes into the game, as Anthony Knockaert smashed the ball in from close range following a Paul Konchesky free kick into the box.
However, Wickham equalised for the managerless hosts shortly after, curling his effort in from a tight angle from the left-hand side of the penalty area.
The on-loan striker added his second of the game in the 25th minute, catching Kasper Schmeichel out with a deep ball into the box after Leicester thought that they had cleared a corner.
Jamie Vardy had a good chance to level for the Foxes shortly before half time, but his left-footed strike was well stopped by Damian Martinez.
Wickham had a couple of half-chances to complete his hat-trick before the break, but the forward was unable to find the target again before the half-time whistle.
