Sheffield Wednesday boss Dave Jones has called for the club to show stability after his Owls side slumped to a 4-1 defeat to Watford.
Wednesday took an early lead in the game, but soon crashed to their fifth straight defeat, piling the pressure on Jones.
The former Cardiff City coach has led his side to just two wins in 17 games as they languish in the relegation zone, but he has insisted that changing the manager will only do more harm.
"Look at my record - I've never been in this situation before," said Jones.
"We're going through a very rough time. We've got to come out fighting and be strong and be brave.
"How many managers has this club had in the last 10 to 15 years? Ten or more? Chopping and changing isn't the right answer."
Jones replaced Gary Megson at Hillsborough in March 2012.
