Preview: Sheffield Wednesday vs. Leicester City

Sports Mole previews the Championship clash between top-of-the-table Leicester City and 23rd-place Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.

Top meets second from bottom in the Championship on Tuesday as high-flying Leicester City travel to struggling Sheffield Wednesday.

The Foxes dislodged Burnley off first place this weekend with their 3-0 victory over Millwall, which was their division-high 12th win of the season.

On the contrary, Wednesday have taken maximum points from only one of their 16 league matches this season and have sunk to three consecutive defeats since beating Reading 5-2 at the start of November.

Owls manager Dave Jones could shuffle his pack to attempt to find a winning formula for the first of two visits by East Midlands clubs to Hillsborough in the space of five days.

Jermaine Johnson and Stephen McPhail may be restored to the Wednesday midfield, while Jones will choose between his two loan strikers, Connor Wickham and Matty Fryatt, to lead his one-man front line.

Nigel Pearson is likely to stick with the majority of the players that were successful over Millwall, although Welsh international midfielder Andy King could replace Matt James in the centre of the park.
