Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino has urged Rickie Lambert to put his England experiences behind him and score goals for the Saints.
Lambert netted twice in three games for Roy Hodgson's side but has failed to find the target since the opening game of the season in the Premier League, including their 0-0 draw with West Ham United on Sunday.
Pochettino told reporters: "He has played the last two with the national side, which must be a huge boost for self-confidence, but strikers need to score goals.
"That is their bread and butter, and he hasn't been able to do that. None of them were able to do that, so I'm frustrated. But on another day those chances might be goals."
Southampton are 11th in the Premier League after taking five points from their opening four games.
