Southampton manager Nigel Adkins hands Rickie Lambert his first Premier League start following the forward's goalscoring appearance at Manchester City last weekend.

Southampton manager Nigel Adkins has made two changes from the side that lost 3-2 at Manchester City last weekend.

Goalscoring duo Steven Davis and Rickie Lambert come into the starting XI in place of Jason Puncheon and 17-year-old James Ward-Prowse.

Meanwhile, Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez makes just one alteration from the team that lost 2-0 to Chelsea.

Arouna Kone replaces Victor Moses, who completed his £9m move to Stamford Bridge yesterday.
