Defender Jos Hooiveld has joined Southampton on loan from Celtic until January.
The 28-year-old Dutchman joined the Bhoys from Swedish side AIK in 2010.
"I'm really pleased," he told the Championship club's official website.
"I feel that I've received a warm welcome and I can already see the big picture that's building here, so it is nice to be a part of it.
"It's a nice stadium and the fans are amazing as well," he added.
Southampton's next fixture after the international break is at home to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, September 10.
