Southampton have expressed an interest in signing Luxembourg international defender Laurent Jans, according to reports.

The 24-year-old right-back, who has 24 caps, has impressed for Belgian Pro League side Waasland-Beveren this season.

According to The Mirror, the Saints are prepared to spend £1m on Jans, who would become the Premier League's first Luxembourger should he sign at St Mary's.
