Southampton assistant manager Jesus Perez has suggested that the team's English players are focused on club matters as opposed to the World Cup.
Saints left-back Luke Shaw has impressed throughout the season, prompting speculation that Chelsea and Manchester United are keeping tabs on him.
The 18-year-old's form has also sparked suggestions that England manager Roy Hodgson may include the player in his World Cup squad for the tournament in Brazil this summer.
"We know [Roy Hodgson] follows our team," Southampton's official Twitter page quotes Perez as saying. "Some of our players could go to Brazil but for now we need to relax.
"Luke Shaw shows every day his great qualities. He just enjoys training. This is the best way to improve."
Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana had a run-out for the Three Lions in their last couple of friendly fixtures.
