Shrimpers boss Phil Brown makes two changes from the team he put out on the opening day against Fleetwood Town last weekend, with Will Atkinson and Kevan Hurst being replaced by Gary Deegan and Joe Pigott.

Meanwhile, Walsall boss Dean Smith makes two changes from the Saddlers' dramatic midweek League Cup triumph against Nottingham Forest, with Romaine Sawyers and Andy Taylor replacing Milan Lalkovic and Kieron Morris.
