Controversial Frenchman Bilel Mohsni has insisted that he is focused on Southend United this season despite actively seeking a move away from the club in recent months.
The 25-year-old had been on trial with a number of Championship clubs after revealing that he no longer wished to represent the Blues, but he could not agree a permanent move with any interested party.
He made his first appearance of the season in Southend's defeat against Northampton Town at the weekend, but he was dismissed for a challenge on Chris Hackett.
"A Premier League club came in for me, with the chance to play against teams like Manchester United, and the chairman said 'no'," he told reporters.
"I had a chat with him, so I understand why he did it, but I had no say in it and was very upset. I needed time to calm down and think but now I'm here and looking forward to helping the team again."
Southend currently sit ninth in the League Two table.
