Sevilla midfielder Vicente Iborra is hopeful that his form this season leads to a call-up to the next Spain squad.
The 27-year-old has been one of the standout midfielders in La Liga this term and it has been speculated that Spain boss Vicente del Bosque is preparing to call Iborra into his next squad.
"That's why you work hard. Lately, I've been getting what I've wanted, consistency and minutes," Iborra is quoted as saying by Inside Spanish Football.
"What I want is to respond to the team and the confidence of the manager and the club. Apart from that, whatever happens makes it even better, but I think that for every player, the way you get called up is by first doing well for your club."
Del Bosque will name his squad for the Euro 2016 qualifier against Ukraine, which will take place on March 27, on Friday. La Roja also face Netherlands in a friendly later this month.
