France boss Didier Deschamps pleased with team's desire

France boss Didier Deschamps says that his side played against Spain with the same desire they displayed during the World Cup.

France boss Didier Deschamps has praised his side's spirit following their 1-0 victory over Spain in Thursday evening's friendly international.

The former Marseille coach said that he is pleased his players showed the same desire they displayed at the World Cup finals during their win against the Azzurri.

"Spain made us suffer towards the end but we made the effort," Deschamps told TF1. "This is a good result for our return. We can be more accurate but we've kept the same desire and the same enthusiasm as in Brazil."

Loic Remy scored the only goal of the match in the 73rd minute.
