Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata has won the Golden Boot at the European Under-21 Championships in Israel.

The 20-year-old, who scored four goals in total, started the final against Italy, providing an assist for Thiago in the 4-2 win on Tuesday.

Thiago had threatened to move ahead of Morata with three first-half goals against the Italians, but the Barcelona midfielder passed up the chance to score his fourth in the second period, instead handing Spain's second penalty of the match to Isco, who scored to finish the tournament on three goals.

A host of players, including Netherlands midfielder Leroy Fer and Germany's Sebastian Rudy finished on two goals.
