Sunday's World Cup qualifying predictions including Spain vs. Sweden

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Sunday's UEFA World Cup qualifiers, including Spain vs. Sweden.

Croatia vs. Russia (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Russia square off against Croatia on Sunday afternoon knowing that avoiding defeat will secure their place at the 2022 World Cup.

However, it will be Croatia who finish as winners of Group H if they can prevail in a hugely-anticipated fixture in Split.

We say: Croatia 2-1 Russia

Given the level of their performances on Thursday, both nations head into this contest full of confidence. While all three results are possible, we are going to back Croatia to edge this contest, forcing Russia to take a spot in the playoffs.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Malta vs. Slovakia (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Slovakia end their World Cup qualifying campaign against Malta on Sunday afternoon looking for the victory which would secure third position in Group H.

Meanwhile, Malta need a win to guarantee fifth position ahead of Cyprus, something which may help their cause ahead of future qualification draws.

We say: Malta 1-4 Slovakia

Despite their performance in the reverse fixture, we cannot see Malta producing a similar level of result. With that in mind, expect Slovakia to run away with this one, cruising to victory to end their campaign on a high note.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Slovenia vs. Cyprus (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Slovenia head into their fixture with Cyprus realistically requiring all three points to have a chance of ending Group H in third position.

While bottom-placed Cyprus have been out of contention for months, they will want to conclude their World Cup qualifying campaign on a high note.

We say: Slovenia 3-0 Cyprus

Given their capitulation in Russia, do not expect much from Cyprus in this contest. Slovenia performed well in Slovakia, and we are backing the home side to produce more of the same on Sunday afternoon.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Armenia vs. Germany (Sunday, 5.00pm)

Germany boss Hansi Flick pictured in August 2021© Reuters

Germany will seek to round off a near flawless World Cup 2022 Qualifying campaign in perfect fashion when they travel to Armenia for the final matchday on Sunday night.

Hansi Flick's side are riding off into the sunset at the top of Group J, while their hosts still have the slimmest chance of claiming second spot and a path into the playoffs.

We say: Armenia 0-4 Germany

Even with a much-changed and ravaged squad, Germany's potent youngsters possess the necessary firepower to chalk up another emphatic win over their confidence-depleted hosts.

Armenia's strong start to Group J has since become a nightmare, and Caparros's side will surely be kept waiting for their World Cup bow as Flick's men run riot.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Liechtenstein vs. Romania (Sunday, 5.00pm)

With their hopes of a playoff place on the line, Romania travel to rock-bottom Liechtenstein for their final game of World Cup 2022 Qualifying on Sunday.

As for the confidence-depleted hosts, Group J cannot end soon enough after they were embarrassed 9-0 by Germany on Thursday night.

We say: Liechtenstein 0-3 Romania

The result of this game will pale into insignificance for Romania should North Macedonia produce the goods against Iceland, but Radoi's men will seek to rediscover their goalscoring touch against their lowly hosts.

Liechtenstein have been leaking goals at an alarming rate in Group J but should keep the scoreline at a more respectable level this time, with Romania hardly renowned for any sort of ruthlessness.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

N. Macedonia vs. Iceland (Sunday, 5.00pm)

North Macedonia will endeavour to assure themselves of a place in the World Cup 2022 playoffs when they face off against Iceland on the final day in Group J.

The hosts marched to an emphatic 5-0 win over Armenia last time out, while their eliminated opponents played out a goalless draw with Romania.

We say: North Macedonia 2-1 Iceland

Goals have been extremely hard to come by for North Macedonia on home turf, but they have appeared to rediscover their magic touch at just the right time, if the thrashing of Armenia is anything to go by.

Iceland will be determined to end their doomed campaign on a high note and have proven more resilient in recent games, but with a spot in the playoffs at stake, North Macedonia should make use of their home advantage to clinch second place.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Portugal vs. Serbia (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Portugal will welcome Serbia to Lisbon on Sunday night needing to avoid defeat in order to top Group A and secure their position at the 2022 World Cup.

Fernando Santos's side will enter the contest off the back of a goalless draw with the Republic of Ireland, which moved them above Serbia to the top of the section, meaning that the visitors will need to win on Sunday if they are to snatch first position and claim an automatic qualification spot at next year's finals.

We say: Portugal 1-1 Serbia

This has all of the makings of a terrific game of football, and it will be fascinating to see what occurs in Lisbon. Portugal cannot afford to simply play for a point against a talented Serbia, but we can see this match finishing level, with Santos's team advancing to the World Cup and Serbia having to accept a playoff spot.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Luxembourg vs. Rep. Ireland (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Republic of Ireland will be looking to round off their World Cup 2022 qualification campaign on a positive note when they make the trip to Luxembourg on Sunday night.

Stephen Kenny's side, who are fourth in Group A, will enter the contest off the back of a goalless draw with Portugal, while third-placed Luxembourg recorded a 3-1 victory away to Azerbaijan.

We say: Luxembourg 1-1 Republic of Ireland

Luxembourg have shown a lot of improvement in this qualification campaign and will fancy their chances of recording another win over Republic of Ireland on Sunday. Kenny's side will have been boosted by their point against Portugal, though, and we can see the two teams playing out a low-scoring draw here.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Greece vs. Kosovo (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Greece will be looking to end their World Cup 2022 qualification campaign on a positive note when they welcome Kosovo to Athens on Sunday night.

The home team will enter the contest off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Spain on Thursday, while Kosovo were in friendly action on Wednesday, suffering a 2-0 defeat to Jordan.

We say: Greece 2-1 Kosovo

The two sides played out a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture at the start of September, and we are expecting this to be a tight match on Sunday. Greece have the stronger team, though, and we are backing the home side to end their World Cup qualification campaign on a positive note.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Spain vs. Sweden (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Spain will welcome Sweden to Seville on Sunday evening knowing that they only need to avoid defeat in order to claim first spot in Group B and secure qualification for next year's World Cup.

La Roja will enter the contest off the back of a 1-0 win over Greece on Thursday, while Sweden, who are one point behind their opponents here, were on the end of a shock 2-0 loss in Georgia.

We say: Spain 2-1 Sweden

Sweden must go after Spain, and the visitors certainly have the players capable of pulling off a huge win on Sunday. La Roja will be feeling good about themselves after the victory over Greece, though, and we are backing Enrique's side to round off their World Cup campaign in the perfect fashion.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.
