CSKA Moscow make Champions League with comeback win

CSKA Moscow make it through to the Champions League group stages with a 4-3 aggregate win over Sporting Lisbon.

CSKA Moscow have scored three second-half goals to beat Sporting Lisbon 4-3 on aggregate to reach the group stages of the Champions League.

CSKA had the first chance of the game as Mario Fernandez crossed for Seydou Doumbia, but he shot wide at the near post from close range as the Russian side dominated early on.

However, they were hit on the break by Lisbon, who took the lead 10 minutes before half time.

Joao Pereira slipped a ball through for striker Teo Gutierrez, and he neatly found the bottom corner from a narrow angle.

CSKA hit back straight after the break as Doumbia flicked the ball in from close range after Alan Dzagoev's free kick deflected into his path, and he added his second from six yards by tapping in Ahmed Musa's cross.

Sporting thought that they had won the tie when Andre Carrillo headed in a corner, but the referee gave a goal kick as the ball went out of play.
