England midfielder Eric Dier has admitted that he is excited to play his part at this summer's European Championship, even if it means filling in at centre-back.
The Tottenham Hotspur ace has impressed in the Premier League this season in his holding role, but a lack of options in the heart of the Three Lions' defence could see him alter his position.
Should Roy Hodgson take just three recognised central-defensive options to France - Chris Smalling, John Stones and Gary Cahill - then Dier will be the likely candidate to fill in, capping a memorable individual campaign for the 22-year-old.
"I'm happy to play anywhere. I don't see that as a problem," he told reporters. "It has been a crazy 12 months for me. I am really enjoying every minute of it. Hopefully I can repay the manager's faith."
England face Australia at the Stadium of Light on Friday evening in their second Euro 2016 warm-up match.
