Good evening and thank you for joining Sports Mole for live text commentary of the Europa League match between Tottenham Hotspur and AEL Limassol at White Hart Lane.

We are just one game away from the group stages of the Europa League and Spurs will fully expect to be in tomorrow's draw. They come into tonight's second leg against AEL Limassol with a 2-1 victory under the belts and only a disastrous performance this evening will see their European journey come to an early end.

For long periods in Cyprus last week, it seemed as though Spurs would be heading into today's clash needing to turn the tie around. A defensive lapse allowed Adrian Sardinero to give AEL the lead early on and the hosts were ahead until the 76th minute when Roberto Soldado eqaulised. Just four minutes later Harry Kane fired in to complete the turnaround and make his team the overwhelming favourites to progress.

The team news is in from White Hart Lane, so let's take a look at which players will be starting this evening.

TOTTENHAM XI: Lloris, Naughton, Chiriches, Kaboul, Davies, Dembele, Sandro, Lennon, Paulinho, Townsend, Kane

AEL LIMASSOL XI: Fegrouch, Sielis, Carlitos, Cadu, Barcelos, Edmar, Bebe, Guidileye, Sardinero, Gikiewicz, Nikolaou

TOTTENHAM SUBS: Friedel, Dier, Rose, Veljkovic, Chadli, Holtby, Adebayor

AEL LIMASSOL SUBS: Pulpo, Espana, Nadeau, Eleftheriou, Tagbajumi, Carlitos, Danielzinho

TEAM NEWS: Roberto Soldado is ruled out through injury, but the other goalscorer from last week Harry Kane keeps his place in the side. He will play as the lone striker, with support coming from the midfield in the shape of Aaron Lennon, Andros Townsend and Paulinho. Vlad Chiriches is back after injury, while Ben Davies makes his first start at White Hart Lane. Meanwhile, the visitors have named an unchanged side from last week's first leg.

Spurs have enjoyed a fine start to life under new manager Mauricio Pochettino. As well as last week's win in Cyprus, they are top of the Premier League after winning their first two games of the season. They opened their campaign with a 1-0 over West Ham United, thanks to a stoppage-time goal from Eric Dier, before hammering Queens Park Rangers 4-0 on Sunday.

There is added incentive for Spurs and a number of other teams competing in the Europa League this season, as the winners will now qualify for the group stages of the Champions League. In the past clubs have been reluctant to put out their strongest sides, but the change of rules should see a far more competitive tournament with so much at stake.

What can we make of Tottenham's opponents this evening? AEL actually finished second in the Cypriot top flight last season, where they were pipped to first place on goal difference by APOEL. Despite missing out on the title, they were rewarded with a place in the qualifying rounds of the Champions League.

It was in the third qualifying round of the Champions League that AEL almost caused an upset against Zenit St Petersburg. They had given themselves a chance of making it through to the playoff round with a 1-0 victory at home in the first leg. However, their dreams were shattered when they suffered a 3-0 defeat in Russia, with late goals from Danny and Aleksandr Kerzhakov seeing them drop down to the Europa League.

Spurs aren't the only Premier League side in European action this evening. Hull City will be hoping to turn around a 1-0 deficit against Belgian outfit Lokern. You can keep up to date with our live coverage of all the action from that match right here.

PREDICTION: Given last week's first leg, it is extremely unlikely that Spurs won't be in the hat for the group stage draw tomorrow. It is hard to see how AEL will score two goals and keep out the home side's attack. Pochettino's men should have far too much for their opponents to cope with and I'm going to tip them to claim a 3-0 win this evening.

Looking at the Spurs lineup, there are plenty of players that will want to impress this evening. Sandro and Paulhino in particular have been heavily linked with a move away from White Hart Lane and it could potentially be a last appearance for the club for at least one of them.

Andros Townsend has also been the subject of reported interest from QPR, but his manager has said that he is going nowhere. The England international was in good form for the club before his injury last season and many were tipping him for a spot in Roy Hodgson's World Cup squad.

The players are out on the pitch and we are just moments away from the start of the match.

KICKOFF! We are underway at White Hart Lane!

It's been a decent start from the visitors who have seen plenty of the ball early on. They look confident in possession, but are yet to trouble the Spurs defense.

PENALTY TO TOTTENHAM! Spurs are gifted the chance to take an early lead, as Naughton gets onto a long ball over the top and is clattered by Fegrouche. The goalkeeper is down in a heap and in need of treatment and it looks as if he will be unable to continue.

There are worrying scenes here at White Hart Lane, with AEL's keeper still down. There was no doubt that it was a clear penalty, but we are now waiting to see whether the referee will send him off or just show him the yellow card.

SUBSTITUTION: Fegrouche has now been stretchered off the pitch and receives a yellow card in the process. Romero is on in his place and his first piece of action will be to face a penalty from Kane.

MISSED PENALTY! What an introduction to the game for Romero! He saves Kane's spot kick with his first touch of the ball! It was a poor strike from the forward, who fired his effort straight down the middle, allowing the keeper to make the stop with his feet.

That let off should serve as a huge boost to the visitors, who would still have needed to score two goals tonight even if Kane had scored his penalty. There is a spring in their step now and they will hope to capitalize on a slow start from Spurs.

CHANCE! Romero has already made one important stop from Kane this evening and he denies him again. It comes as the striker picks the ball up just inside his own half, before charging towards goal. He then gets to the edge of the box and fancies his chances, but his powerful effort is struck too close to the keeper who beats the ball away.

It's all very even at the moment, but Spurs look much more of a threat when they come forward. They are almost in behind when Davies tries to latch onto a pass into the box, but it is just too far ahead of the Welshman, who is beaten to the ball by the keeper.

Sardinero has the visitors' first chance of the evening, but after the ball breaks to him kindly just outside the box, he can't keep his effort down and fires the strike high over the bar.

Down the other end it's the home side who work a chance on goal as Kane gets in front of his man to meet Naughton's cross from the right, but his header ends up taking a deflection and heads behind for a corner.

Aside from Kane's penalty and his effort that was saved by the keeper, there really hasn't been too much in the way of goalmouth action. The hosts are firmly in control at this stage and if they showed some more penetration going forward then a goal is not too far off.

Dembele shows great skill to drive past a couple of midfielders, before looking for the run of Paulinho in front of him. He doesn't find his teammate, but the ball rebounds back to him kindly and he takes a touch before driving an effort just wide of the post.

Kane has looked the most likely player on the pitch to find the net this evening and he comes close again when Lennon finds him inside the box, but after working some space to shoot he fires his effort over the bar.

Spurs work another opening, with Townsend fed the ball quickly from a free kick wide on the right. The winger then cuts inside onto his left foot before unleashing a strike that flies over the top. The hosts have got into some good positions, but so far this evening the end product is not there.

YELLOW CARD! Bebe is the second AEL player to pick up a booking this evening for a late challenge on Townsend.

Lennon is the latest Spurs player to threaten the goal as he cuts inside before firing in a low strike that looks like it's heading well wide, before Romero gets a slight touch on the ball and gives away a cheap corner. They can't make the resulting set piece count though, as the keeper atones for his mistake by punching the ball to safety.

GOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 AEL Limassol (Harry Kane)

In the final minute of the half Spurs have taken the lead and the tie is surely over now. It's a poor defensive mistake from the visitors, who give the ball away cheaply inside their own half to Paulinho. The Brazilian then slides a precise ball through to Kane, who keeps his composure with a calm low finish past the keeper. It's no less than Spurs deserve and Kane has finally got his goal.

We are going to have seven minutes of stoppage time due to Fegrouche's injury earlier in the half.

YELLOW CARD! Townsend becomes the first Spurs player to be handed a booking this evening for tugging back Edmar.

Sielis feels that he should be given a penalty after appearing to go down in the box under the challenge of Kaboul. However, the replays clearly showed that there was no contact, with the referee making the right call to wave away his appeals.

HALF-TIME: Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 AEL Limassol

The first half comes to an end after a lengthy period of stoppage time and it's Spurs who have the lead. They have been the better team this evening and are ahead thanks to Kane's goal. That means that it is now 3-1 on aggregate and it would take a huge shock for the visitors to go through now.

A quick look at the stats shows that Tottenham have seen plenty of the ball, with 62% of the possession. They have also had nine attempts on goal, compared to just one from the visitors. It is going very much according to plan for Pochettino.

I've mentioned that Hull are in European action this evening and it's good news from the KC Stadium as far as the home side are concerned. They are currently 1-0 up against Lokeren due to an early strike from Robbie Brady.

The players are now making their way back out onto the pitch and the second half should get getting underway shortly.

Tottenham take the kick off and get the second half started!

The first chance of the half falls to the home side, as Kane is picked out by Sandro just inside the box, but the striker drags his effort wide of the far post.

GOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 AEL Limassol (Paulinho)

If the tie wasn't already over then it surely is now as Spurs make it 2-0 on the night and 4-1 on aggregate. Paulinho is the man who scores it, as AEL again lose the ball cheaply deep inside their own half. The Brazilian is then awarded far too much space inside the box to get a shot away, and he squeezes a low effort past the keeper and into the far corner.

This game may now be over as a contest, but you have to commend the Spurs players for the effort that they have put in. They have played a high pressing game that has forced their opponents to make plenty of mistakes and they have taken full advantage.

CHANCE! The visitors haven't threatened much tonight, but Gikiewicz is allowed plenty of space on the edge of the box to get away a strike. However, his effort is far too close to Lloris who ends making the save and holding onto the ball. I make that the first thing that the Frenchman has had to do all evening.

Sandro and Paulhino are two of the players that I mentioned could be leaving White Hart Lane, but they have been the best players on the pitch this evening. The effort and desire of the Brazilian midfielders will have surely been welcomed by the home fans.

OFF THE LINE! It's almost brilliant from Lennon! Paulinho does well to latch onto a threaded pass, before cutting inside of a defender on the edge of the box. He then lays it off to Lennon, who tries to dink it over the onrushing Romero, but it headed off the line by Carlitos.

PENALTY TO TOTTENHAM! The hosts have won their second penalty of the evening, as Edmar handles Naughton's cross inside the box, leaving the referee with an easy decision to make.

GOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 AEL Limassol (Andros Townsend)

This time Spurs do score from the spot, as Townsend slots his effort into the bottom right-hand corner of the net with Romero diving the wrong way. That caps a great day for the 23-year-old, following his call up to the England squad.

It really is now a case of how much for Spurs. They look like scoring every time they come forward and it would be no surprise to see at least a couple more goals before the night is through.

Spurs are still completely dominating the possession and at the moment they are calmly playing the ball around between their defence. It's all too easy with the visitors looking tired and clearly deflated following that third goal.

CHANCE! Kane has had plenty of chances to add to his goal this evening and he should have grabbed his side's fourth after being slipped through on goal by Lennon, but he places his effort straight at the keeper.

SUBSTITUTION: Spurs make their first change of the evening, with Holtby coming on for Sandro.

CHANCE! Townsend comes close to grabbing his second of the game when he bursts through the midfield before unleashing a strike from 25 yards out that looks as if it's heading for the top corner, before being tipped over by Romero.

AEL have a rare sight of goal when a free kick from out wide on the right is met Cadu, but the defender can only place his header wide of the target.

CHANCES! Despite conceding three goals this evening, the AEL keeper has made some great saves tonight. Firstly, Romero tips a long-range drive from Davies round the post, before beating away a powerful volley from Paulinho.

SUBSTITUTION: It's a second change for the hosts with Swiss teenager Veljkovic replacing Chiriches.

We are going to have two minutes of stoppage time.

FULL-TIME: Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 AEL Limassol

So there we have it. Tottenham have made it through to the group stages of the Europa League following a very comfortable win this evening. Goals from Kane, Paulinho and Townsend have sealed a 3-0 victory on the night and a 5-1 aggregate win on aggregate.

It always looked like an uphill task for the visitors, and despite Andres Romero's early penalty save, the end result was never in doubt. Tottenham will find out who their opponents in the group stage of the tournament are during tomorrow's draw, but this weekend they will face a Premier League clash against Liverpool, where their players will undoubtedly be in for a much tougher test.

Well, that's all we've got time for from White Hart Lane. I hope you have enjoyed our coverage of the action. Until next time, goodbye!
