Tottenham Hotspur coach Andre Villas-Boas has confirmed that Hugo Lloris will play no part against his former club Lyon in the Europa League tomorrow night.
The French international joined Spurs from the Ligue 1 side during the summer and has since gone on to establish himself as the number one goalkeeper at White Hart Lane.
However, Villas-Boas told reporters this afternoon that the experienced Brad Friedel would be given a chance between the posts for the visit of Lyon.
England international Jermain Defoe has also been ruled out with an ankle problem, while Sandro and Younes Kaboul are long-term absentees.
