Team News: Tottenham Hotspur make five changes for Benfica clash

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Tim Sherwood makes five changes to his side for tonight's crucial Europa League second leg against Benfica.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Tim Sherwood has made five changes to his side for tonight's crucial Europa League second leg against Benfica.

Sherwood has been forced to make a number of changes due to having an injury-hit squad, with Aaron Lennon being named captain for tonight's encounter.

Roberto Soldado leads the line for Spurs, while Sandro has been forced to drop to centre-back, with Brad Friedel in goal as Hugo Lloris did not travel with the squad.

Nacer Chadli, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Andros Townsend will start in midfield, while the likes of Michael Dawson, Vlad Chiriches, Younes Kaboul and Kyle Walker are all sidelined.

Tottenham Hotspur XI: Friedel; Naughton, Fryers, Sandro, Rose; Lennon, Bentaleb, Chadli, Sigurdsson, Townsend; Soldado

Benfica XI: Oblak; M. Pereira, Luisao, Garay, Siqueira; Salvio, A. Gomes, R. Amorim, Sulejmani; Djuricic, Cardozo
