Friday's FA Cup predictions including Tottenham vs. Burnley

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's FA Cup fixtures, including Tottenham vs. Burnley.

Brentford vs. Wolves (Friday, 7.15pm)

One of four all-Premier League ties in the FA Cup third round takes centre stage at the Gtech Community Stadium on Friday when Brentford play host to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Bees will be seeking revenge after they suffered a humbling 4-1 home defeat to Wolves in the top flight just over a week ago.

We say: Brentford 1-2 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Brentford must cut out the defensive errors that have proved costly in recent weeks if they wish to claim a positive result against an in-form Wolves side, who will hope to deliver once again in the final third despite the absence of key man Hwang.

A tighter affair could in store if both sides opt to make several changes, but the momentum is with a buoyant Wolves outfit nevertheless, and they should have enough strength in depth to outscore the Bees en route to booking their place in the fourth round.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Fulham vs. Rotherham (Friday, 7.30pm)

Fresh from their Premier League triumph over London rivals Arsenal, Fulham welcome Championship outfit Rotherham United to Craven Cottage for an FA Cup third-round tie on Friday night.

While the Cottagers are hoping to better their quarter-final finish in last season's FA Cup, the Millers are seeking to avoid a sixth consecutive third-round elimination.

We say: Fulham 2-0 Rotherham United

Fulham will be regarded as firm favourites to come out on top, even if Silva decides to make several changes to his lineup, although they must not underestimate Rotherham who will look to frustrate the Cottagers and make themselves difficult to break down.

Forcing a replay would be viewed as a positive for the Millers, but we believe the hosts should have enough top-flight quality in their side to get the job done in front of the Craven Cottage faithful.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Spurs vs. Burnley (Friday, 8.00pm)

Tottenham Hotspur begin 2024 with an FA Cup third-round tie at home against fellow Premier League outfit Burnley on Friday night.

The two teams meet for the first time since September when Spurs claimed a comfortable 5-2 victory over the Clarets at Turf Moor in the top flight.

We say: Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 Burnley

Burnley's last six FA Cup ties against Premier League opposition have produced a total of 28 goals at an average of 4.7 per game, while at least three goals have been scored in 10 of Tottenham's last 11 matches in all competitions, so plenty of goalmouth action could be in store on Friday.

Although Spurs are missing a number of first-team regulars, Postecoglou still has enough strength in depth to field a reasonably strong side capable of outscoring a defensively frail Clarets outfit.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
