Half-Time Report: Phil Jagielka brings Everton level at Tottenham Hotspur

Goals from Emmanuel Adebayor and Phil Jagielka see Tottenham Hotspur and Everton go into the break level.

Tottenham Hotspur and Everton shared two goals evenly during the opening 45 minutes of their Premier League encounter at White Hart Lane this afternoon.

It took hosts Spurs just 39 seconds to break the deadlock. Jan Vertonghen sent over a cross from the left that was met by Emmanuel Adebayor and the Togo international managed to poke the ball beyond Tim Howard.

That prompted a positive response from the visiting Toffees and with eight minutes on the clock, England international Leon Osman curled the ball just wide of Hugo Lloris's goal from 25 yards out.

However, with their next attack, the away side were level. Leighton Baines sent over a corner for Phil Jagielka, who got above the Spurs defence to head into the net.

As the half drew to a close, Moussa Dembele had a chance to put Spurs back in front but he could only find the side-netting from a narrow angle.
