Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Aston Villa

Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Premier League clash with Aston Villa.

Tottenham Hotspur will aim to boost their chances of securing European football when they welcome Aston Villa to North London for Wednesday's Premier League battle.

Ryan Mason's side enjoyed a routine 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in gameweek 36, during which Harry Kane and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg struck the goals in the capital.

The Lilywhites' top-four hopes are almost dead in the water, but they have leapfrogged West Ham United into sixth place and are three points clear of eighth-placed Everton with two games remaining.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their meeting with Villa.

Ben Davies

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown

Left-back Ben Davies has now missed Tottenham's last seven Premier League games with a calf issue, and Mason has admitted that he does not expect the Welshman to return before the season is over.

Serge Aurier

Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: May 19 (vs. Villa)

Davies's fellow full-back Serge Aurier was left out of the Wolves win due to a groin issue. Mason revealed that the defender took part in training but was not feeling at 100%, so he will be assessed before Wednesday's game.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Tottenham have no players suspended for this match.
