Tottenham Hotspur are sweating on the fitness of Son Heung-min ahead of a run of key fixtures after the forward sustained an injury on international duty with South Korea.
The 29-year-old, who played the full 90 minutes of his country's goalless draw with Iraq last Thursday, is struggling with a right calf issue.
The Korea Football Association have announced that Son will play no part in the Taegeuk Warriors' World Cup qualifier with Lebanon on Tuesday.
Son, who has two goals in four appearances for Tottenham this season, is now expected to return to North London ahead of schedule to be assessed.
Spurs are back in action on Saturday lunchtime with a trip to Crystal Palace, before taking on Rennes in their opening Europa Conference League match five days later.
The Lilywhites also face Chelsea, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Arsenal in the Premier League before the end of the month.
