Tottenham will wait for further assessment of Son Heung-min's injury after the forward was forced off in the first half of Tuesday's 2-1 win over Marseille.

Tottenham Hotspur have concerns about the fitness of Son Heung-min after the forward was forced off in Tuesday's Champions League victory over Marseille.

Spurs booked their place in the last 16 of the Champions League after coming from behind to beat Marseille 2-1 thanks to Clement Lenglet's equaliser and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's 95th-minute winner.

While Tottenham will be celebrating their comeback victory to top Group D, there will also be concerns about Son who had to be withdrawn in the first half.

The 30-year-old sustained a facial injury after clashing with Marseille defender Chancel Mbemba, and as a result, he had to be helped off the pitch.

Antonio Conte will hope to have one of his key players available for Tottenham's meeting with Liverpool on Sunday, but first, he must pass through the Premier League's concussion protocols.

Son has started 18 of Tottenham's 19 games in all competitions this season, scoring five goals and providing two assists.
