Steve Bruce: 'Tottenham Hotspur are title contenders'

Hull City manager Steve Bruce believes that Tottenham Hotspur will be challenging for the Premier League title at the end of the season.

Steve Bruce has said that Tottenham Hotspur will be challenging for this season's Premier League title.

Spurs sit fifth in the table ahead of this afternoon's kickoffs, having lost just twice so far this season.

The Hull City manager told Sky Sports News: "They're certainly a challenger. Spurs are now one of the big teams in the division as far as I'm concerned.

"Whether they are good enough to win it, that's a big call for them because they've got to beat Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, but they've got a chance. In my opinion, they must have.

"You can only applaud what they've done. They lost Gareth Bale, a wonderful footballer, but as a squad and as a team there's an argument they're even better. They've got better players than us, let's be honest. They've assembled a really good squad over the years but that's not to say we can't go there and get a result."

Tottenham play Bruce's side tomorrow.
