Caulker adds to growing Swansea injury list

Defender Steven Caulker has been told that he faces eight weeks out with a knee injury, adding to Swansea City's growing injury problems.

Caulker, who is on a season-long loan from Tottenham, suffered the injury during Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Arsenal and scans have revealed damaged cartilage in his knee.

The 19-year-old, who has started all four of Swansea's league matches, will now return to his parent club to have the injury assessed further but is likely to be sidelined until the middle of November.

Boss Brendan Rodgers is already without long-term injury victims Alan Tate, Kemy Agustien and Craig Beattie.

The Swans, who are still looking for their first Premier League goal, host West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
