Tottenham Hotspur defender Michael Dawson has expressed his delight for Roberto Soldado after ending his nine-game barren spell in the 1-0 win over Cardiff City today.
The Spain international bagged his first Premier League goal of 2014 en route to helping Spurs to victory at White Hart Lane.
"We have been wishing it in for him, he's settled in well and we are just delighted to see him score," Dawson told reporters. "The fans have been behind him every step of the way and he is a top player."
As a result of the win, Tottenham move four points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City in the table.
