Jermain Defoe is determined for Tottenham to snatch three points from Stoke City in order to dedicate the victory to Fabrice Muamba.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe has urged the North London side to clinch victory against Stoke City for stricken Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba.

Spurs host the Potters at White Hart Lane tonight for the first time since Muamba suffered a cardiac arrest during Tottenham's FA Cup quarter-final against the Trotters on Saturday.

Defoe was visibly upset when the 23-year-old collapsed during the first half of the fixture, but the England international has resumed focus on the challenge ahead.

Defoe wrote on Twitter: "Morning people back at the lane tonight let's win this game for Fab."

Former England Under-21s international Muamba has made significant improvements since he was rushed to the London Chest Hospital on Saturday evening, with reports claiming that the playmaker has been joking with his Bolton teammates.
