Eric Dier praises Tottenham Hotspur's character

Tottenham Hotspur's late 2-1 win over Swansea City had a lot to do with character, according to midfielder Eric Dier.

Eric Dier has hailed the character that Tottenham Hotspur displayed during their 2-1 win over Swansea City this afternoon.

The hosting Lilywhites fell behind to Alberto Paloschi's first-half strike, but late goals from Nacer Chadli and Danny Rose earned the three points that have kept Spurs in the title race.

"We deserved the win with the way we played. Apart from the goal, Swansea didn't really have a chance," Dier told BBC Sport.

"It shows our character and how far we have come. We showed maturity, stayed calm, and played how we did from the beginning. It was a case of being patient."

The North Londoners have not been crowned champions of England since 1961.
