Christian Eriksen targets strong start to season

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen admits that he would like to see the club make a strong start to the new Premier League season.

Christian Eriksen has said that he wants Tottenham Hotspur to start the 2014-15 Premier League season "really well".

Spurs begin their campaign under new manager Mauricio Pochettino with a trip with West Ham United before home matches against Queens Park Rangers and Liverpool.

The Danish international, who joined the club last summer, told Tottenham's official website: "Personally and for the team, I hope we can start next season really well.

"It's been a season of ups and downs both personally and for the team. There have been some big losses but some good wins as well.

"Everyone has been in the Premier League for a season now, everyone has shown character and shown that we can bounce back. We now need to go and achieve our targets for next season."

Spurs finished sixth in the table last season.
